Welcome to the PCGA District Palawan!

We are a service-oriented, uniformed volunteer organization committed to support and assist the PCG in the promotion of safety of life and property at sea, the protection of the marine environment and its resources, the conduct of maritime search and rescue, the maintenance of aids to navigation, recreational safety and such other activities that enhance maritime community relations.

Our Vision

The PCGA shall be an important, relevant and reliable partner of the PCG commissioning dedicated and professional volunteers composed of Auxiliarists from coastal communities and Officers from various sectors of society who are properly trained in MARSAF, MARSAR and MAREP procedures, well-equipped with the necessary tools, equipment and floating/air assets and always ready to promote safety of life and property at sea, preserve the marine environment, conduct search and rescue and enhance coastal community relations.

Our Mission

The PCGA shall assist the PCG in the promotion of safety of life and property at sea, in the preservation of the marine environment and its resources, the conduct of maritime search and rescue, the maintenance of aids to navigation, and such other activities that enhance maritime community relations which include civic action, participation under the National Service Training Program (NSTP), youth development, recreational safety and other related activities.

Our Functions.

PCGA District Palawan has the following mandated functions:

Maritime Safety (MARSAF)

With the expertise of the PCGA members, it can be essential and more effective to render assistance to the PCG in the Implementation of maritime safety rules and regulations.

Maritime Search and Rescue (MARSAR)

Assist the PCG in the conduct of Search and Rescue operations and to respond to ship emergency situations.

Marine Environmental Protection (MAREP)

Assist the PCG in the protection of the marine environment and resources from offshore sources of pollution within the maritime jurisdiction.

Maritime Community Relations (MCOMREL)

Assist the PCG in enhancing maritime community relations through the conduct of civic action, participation under the NSTP, youth development projects, promotion of recreational safety and other related activities.
